Central Water Softening Units

This is to inform all incoming residents to our community that this community has installed Rayne Water Softening Equipment in the central hot water heater rooms. There are six central heater rooms located on the property and all but one received the Soft Water System which is treating the hot water with a salt based softening system.

Anyone with an allergic reaction to anything containing a salt based product is cautioned that the water is treated and you will need to decide if you are able to use the water.

In the sixth heater room station the water is treated with a system called Scale Stop which is a scale and hard water conditioning system that does not use a salt based system to achieve the intended effect. Those buildings utilizing the Scale Stop System are 6006, 6012, 6018, 6024 and 6036.

The softening of the water is to extend the life of water heaters, dishwashers in the units, laundry equipment in the central laundries and to provide a more palatable feeling in the shower by reducing the hardness in the San Diego City Water.
